要活就要動,要活得好就要動的好——宣芙物理治療師是對這件事情體會最深的人。


宣芙在上大學以前都非常不喜歡運動,唸書時常常出現嚴重的腰痠及膝蓋痛,而且到處求醫都只得到「多休息」、「吃止痛藥」的建議,症狀反反覆覆。直到大學時聽老師講到久坐的惡果,才驚覺原來自己的不舒服都是久坐造成的!理解了這點之後,宣芙開始嘗試練習重量訓練,隨著各種肌群被訓練強壯,腰痠和膝蓋痛也越來越少發生。


在就讀台大物理治療系六年制的期間,宣芙也積極參與各種運動防護的社團,像是師大田徑飛虎隊、台大男子橄欖球校隊,學習評估和處理了各種運動傷害,也跟各項運動變得更加熟悉。此外,她也和同學一同創立了「台大動作表現既健康促進社」,向校內同樣也受疼痛所苦的同學們宣導自我保健和改善疼痛的方法。


畢業後,宣芙在物理治療所及診所工作。除了學到獨門的肌筋膜放鬆技巧,把身體調整到更適合開始運動的狀態;也持續精進運動教學的廣度,進修動態神經穩定術(DNS)、也考到了有「國際四大證照」之稱的美國運動醫學會私人教練證照(ACSM-CPT)。


因為自身從久坐到參加各種運動的經驗,宣芙治療師特別知道該如何引導因為身體疼痛而害怕運動的族群。未來她也會在治療所提供彼拉提斯的服務,透過這項講求精細調整及身體姿勢覺察的運動,讓個案都能脫離疼痛的泥淖,邁向更健康的未來!



Karyn hated exercise since she was a child, and she often had severe low back and knee pain with no obvious cause. She had received several medical advice, such as “get more rest“ and “just take the painkiller, “but neither of these relieved her pain. It wasn’t until the professor in college talked about the consequence of prolonged sitting that Karyn realized that all she needed was to be active and get rid of a sedentary life.


Since then, Karyn started to practice hard in weight training, strengthening her muscles, and she could finally keep the low back and knee pain at bay. Karyn also played roles in various sports clubs, such as NTNU Track and Field Club and NTU Rugby Club, getting familiar with sports and sports injuries. Furthermore, she formed a club with her classmates to promote health information and self-management techniques to students who were also suffering from pain.


After graduation, Karyn worked in a physiotherapy center and a clinic. In addition to mastering the unique technique of myofascial release, she also continued to deepen her exercise-teaching skills. She obtained the American College of Sports Medicine-Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM-CPT), which is known as one of the top international licenses.


Because of her own experience from being sedentary to staying active and healthy, Karyn knows how to guide people with ongoing pain to start their exercise routine step by step. In the future, she will also provide Stott Pilates services, which emphasize elaborate movements and postural awareness, to accompany all patients to walk toward a pain-free future.
